LOADING AND UNLOADING SYSTEM FOR AUTOCLAVE BASKETS

The LOADING AND UNLOADING SYSTEM FOR AUTOCLAVE BASKETS has been designed specifically for automatic loading and unloading of jars inside suitable trays and stacked in metal baskets.

This automatic system is used in food industry to fill the baskets with jars coming from the manufacturing line, to be sent exclusively to the sterilization department, by autoclave; then, the jars are unloaded and sent to the packaging system with cardboard boxes.

The system is featured by:

  • Basket loading station, complete with a patented automatic system for jar layer arrangement (variable depending on the jar quantity on the trays), by a 4-degree robot with sucker system for jar collection and integrated accessory for tray picking, and by an automatic system for basket driving.

  • Buffering system for cups to set on the production line as flow-regulator. Patented device.

  • Shuttle with telescopic transport for the automatic transfer of baskets from the loading station to the sterilization department (in autoclaves) and then to the unloading station with following basket recirculation.

  • Basket unloading system, with a tray laying system equipped with shunting channels, a 4-degree robot with sucker system for jar collection and integrated accessory for tray picking, and by an automatic system for basket driving.

The GANTRY ROBOT PSP600 model machine, with TWIN TELESCOPIC UNIT is a universal system with two cartesian coordinates (X and Z) studied and designed specifically as an automatic pan storage system. The system is formed by a bearing structure whose length and width can be sized depending on the available spaces. The two lifting units are telescopic type, so that the machine can be installed also in areas with relatively low ceilings. The collecting arm has been designed to collect different types of pans; it is mainly used to collect and deposit pans on surfaces featuring an irregular alignment.

The system is completely flexible for pan handling during the production cycle recirculation.

Functions

  • Automatic warehouse for all pans during the weekend system stop.
  • Pan type automatic change at any time and many times during the same day.
  • Pans flow regulator in case of product processing line failure or clogging.
  • Productivity from 15 to 35 pans/minute.

The system ensures a correct operation, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

The movements of the four axis are made by vectorial motors controlled by an axis card that guarantees a smooth movement, fast and precise control.

All the main functions are managed by an industrial control (PLC SIEMENS).
